Have experience of working for Government of India for over 29 years in Telecommunications Industry, including 12 years’ experience with Law Enforcement Agency (LEA). Played vital role in formulation of strategies, identification, fabrication, testing and implementation of various solutions for 12 years while working in Cabinet Secretariat, Government of India which is one of the LEAs in India. As Deputy Director General (Networks and Technologies) in Department of Telecommunications, Ministry of Communications, Government of India was responsible: a. To simplify licensing activities of DoT by implementing paperless online license management system and integrating various functions related to licence/ registration across all field units of DoT through web based portal SARALSANCHAR (Simplified Application for Registration and Licences).b. To foster the development of 5G ecosystem in India by facilitating setting up of ‘Indigenous 5G Test Bed’.c. To formulate policy directives, regulations, and creation of framework related to Net Neutrality, Cloud Services, Internet Protocol Version 6 (IPv6), Over-The-Top (OTT) services, Machine-to-Machine (M2M) communication services. d. To collaborate, coordinate and interact with Central Government departments/ Industry Associations for gaining insights in various emerging new technologies to facilitate in policy formulation.• In DoT coordinated for development of ‘Indigenous 5G Testbed’. • Government Nominee in Telecommunications Standards Development Society, India (TSDSI) in 3rd Governing Councils. • Chairman of ‘IPv6 Expert panel Group’ of National Internet Exchange of India (NIXI).• Member of Telecom Standards Advisory Committee(TASC) of Telecom Engineering Centre (TEC), DoT, Government of India• Member of Project Review and Steering Group (PRSG) for project ‘To establish VSAT Connectivity for Internet/Intranet Access in NE States of the Country’; ‘5G Hackathon’; and ‘5G Use Case Lab in Banking and Financial Sector at IDRBT, Hyderabad’.• Member of Working Group of E-Infrastructure of Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India project.• Chaired an inter-Ministerial Group for identifying Critical Sectors in M2M Communications. • Coordinated and steered ‘Centralized Monitoring System (CMS)’ and ‘Secured and Dedicated Communication Network (SDCN)’ projects in DoT. • Was instrumental since planning to installation, testing and commissioning of GSM services in Jammu & Kashmir state in India in 2003, as a first GSM Telecom Service Provider.
