Educated at Pace University (BBA), and University of Iowa (MBA), Suresh Basnet brings over 17 years of industry experience to provide daily insights on Advisory Services, Investments, Retirement Income Planning, Tax Strategies, Corporate Benefits and Estate Planning.Prior to founding Balanced Investment Company, he worked with major global financial institutions- Merrill Lynch, UBS Financial Service and ING/Voya Financial Advisors.Suresh has been appointed by Iowa Governor to serve as a Commissioner on Commission of Asian Pacific Islander Affairs. Suresh is also a 2007 graduate of the Cedar Rapids Chamber of Commerce Five Seasons Leadership Program. He is passionate about helping others the way others have helped him. As a former president of the board for Legion Arts at CSPS, as well as a board member of The Linn County Empowerment Governance and The Iowa Asian Alliance, Suresh was named one of Corridor Business Journal's 2008 “40 Under 40” for his professional success and civic contribution to the corridor community. Basnet is also a recipient of the Iowa Governor's Volunteer Award.Today, Suresh enjoys traveling, reading, meditating and acting.
