Chief Operating Officer of ESIS, which is a Chubb Company, and is a Third-Party Administrator offering sophisticated risk and claim management solutions. ESIS provides claim and risk management solutions to a wide variety of commercial clients for a broad spectrum of casualty insurance products including workers compensation, general liability, auto liability, products liability, professional liability, medical malpractice and disability management. We also assist our clients manage their total cost of risk with advocacy programs, recovery services, special investigations, and litigation management. We are more than 1,500 committed associates with over 68 years of claims handling experience and are the approved TPA for more than 20 insurance carriers.My role includes working with some of the best TPA experts in the industry, and with them, developing and implementing a range of strategies related to claims execution. We will focus on consistently improving the performance of our technology and our handling of workers compensation, auto liability, general liability, and specialty claims. We will also focus on developing relevant and timely products and services connected with technology to enhance client experience.

I led the day-to-day operations of Chubb’s large account and middle market Accident and Health insurance business. Our A&H business provides insurance benefits, ancillary services, and multinational solutions for large and small businesses, educational institutions, affinity groups and leisure travelers in the United States and Canada. Our collective goal is to share our knowledge, experience and expertise while deploying our industry-leading underwriting capabilities, sales, product development, claims, and service teams to expand, grow profitably and stay close to our clients and brokers.

My role as COO of A&H for the US and Canada was about learning, sharing, and building: sharing my knowledge and experience, learning this business from colleagues, clients and brokers, and building on our strong foundations. Specifically, understanding the unique needs of large and middle market clients and brokers, working closely with colleagues to deliver solutions to fit those needs, providing leadership and actively engaging in complex claims, and continuing to develop and implement strategies to profitably grow our A&H business. We have a strong foundation in A&H North America and our goal is to build on that foundation, add insight and value to our sales, distribution and claims culture, and meaningfully contribute to developing products and services that are valuable for our clients and brokers.

For three years, I was based in London and fortunate to lead the Global and Large Account segment for the UK, Ireland and Continental Europe property, casualty and accident and health businesses--a logical transition for me and Chubb as we continue to build our business segments in Europe. I implemented the business strategy for the segment and oversaw the segment underwriters, relationship management, claims, and our service proposition to ensure our clients and brokers fully benefited from our risk and underwriting expertise and multinational network and services.

It was exciting and fun to lead ACE Overseas General Insurance Division’s multinational and large accounts strategy. I assembled and oversaw cross-functional teams in Asia Pacific, Africa, Eurasia, Europe and Latin America. This included navigating clients through the complexity of multinational programs and delivering the company’s broad product portfolio, sophisticated claims and risk management services, advanced technology, regulatory compliance expertise and the network of local operations and partners in more than 190 countries. Additionally, I led and managed the Global Client Executive Practice for ACE Overseas General Insurance Division.

Before transitioning into senior business roles at ACE/Chubb in late 2013, I enjoyed being a lawyer for the ACE Group for about 14 years in various senior legal roles.As General Counsel of ACE Group's Multinational Client Group (April 2010--December 2013), I had global legal oversight for matters connected with the ACE Group’s multinational products and services. As I traveled and met our clients and brokers worldwide, I collaborated with partners around the world writing reports and articles on many of the challenges to structuring and implementing multinational programs--many of which are attached. The overarching principles identified in them are still relevant today. It was a privilege to serve as General Counsel of ACE USA (August 2005--April 2010) where I had management responsibilities for all legal matters, including large complex claims, connected with the US commercial retail insurance businesses of ACE.Some of the best highlights of my career were from January 2001--August 2004 when I was General Counsel of ACE Financial Solutions. With a dynamic team of lawyers and business people, I had management responsibilities for legal matters connected with the structured products division and structured (re)insurance division of ACE.I began my career at ACE in December 1999 as Assistant General Counsel of ACE Capital Re (ACE had purchased Capital Reinsurance Co. in the fall of 1999) where I counseled the mortgage guaranty reinsurance division, title guaranty reinsurance division, and structured finance division.
