Organic Chemistry laboratory

Worked as a project student at IISER Mohali, successfully submitted the project titled as “Base mediated one-pot synthesis of oxygen-based heterocycles from p-Quinone Methides” and published in The Journal of Organic Chemistry. reference- (J. Org. Chem. 2019, 84, 15978)

Worked on a project titled as “Organocatalytic O-acylation of phenols/alcohols and N-acylation of Indole with Cyclopropenones” during this time period of my research internship at IISER Mohali.

Worked as a summer intern in "Spectroscopic and physical methods laboratory" under the supervision of Prof. K.S. Viswanathan at IISER Mohali and finished a project titled as “ab initio quantum chemical calculations of optimized geometry and molecular orbitals”. About ab initio quantum chemical calculations, understanding of the optimized geometry, molecular orbitals, electrostatic potential surface and some studies on the transition state of elementary reactions.

During this summer research internship in "Organocatalysis and Asymmetric synthesis lab" at IISER Mohali, I have synthesized various chiral N-heterocyclic carbenes (NHCs) and bis(amino)cyclopropenylidenes (BACs) catalysts.
