Responsible for Google’s network advertising P&L, as well as advertising revenue on Google Play Store, Gmail and parts of YouTube. Led product and engineering teams for Google Ad Network, AdMob, AdSense, DV360, AdManager, Google Analytics, GA 360 and all associated products. Led the acceleration of growth in the business and launched several product features while significantly reducing traffic acquisition and infrastructure costs.

Responsible for planning, delivering, operating and managing all physical infrastructure for Microsoft's cloud services. Leading a global organization of professionals working in 25 countries, managed Microsoft’s portfolio of data centers, network, servers, fiber, supply chain, energy, construction, leases and infrastructure automation. Drove key aspects of Microsoft’s cloud expansion, overseeing a doubling of its global reach and tripling of capacity. Responsible for transformation of Microsoft’s cloud supply chain and operations, for increasing throughput, agility and safety, and for driving scale through automation.

As the Vice President of Worldwide Retail Systems, managed a global team of 500 engineers across seven locations, including four Vice Presidents of Technology and twelve Engineering Directors. Responsible for technology that powers core retail functions such as pricing, promotions, catalog and vendor management for all Amazon properties worldwide. Responsible for all aspects of technology, including program management, software development, testing, support, operations and business analytics. As the Retail CTO, responsible for establishing software architecture standards, and maintaining consistency in hiring and leveling of senior engineering talent across all retail divisions. Responsible for setting architecture direction for all Amazon retail subsidiaries and integrating subsidiaries into the Amazon technology stack. As head of Retail Services, currently managing a team of 2000 associates across nine centers and twenty product imaging studios worldwide, responsible for creating and maintaining all item information, including item images for products sold by Amazon retail.

Responsible for all software systems and operations supporting the retail business at Amazon.com. The retail segment at Amazon.com generates over 70% of the company revenue. Managing a department of over 300 people in engineering and retail operations, spread over five countries. Functional areas of responsibility include demand forecasting, buying, pricing, catalog management, vendor contract management and vendor compliance tracking systems. Support for over forty product lines in six countries.

Responsible for Inventory Management Systems world-wide. Teams included demand forecasting, inventory planning, inventory allocation, procurement, vendor management, inventory health and vendor returns.

Responsible for development and support of Amazon.com’s procurement systems – a set of diverse software and tools that manage all of the company’s purchases across all product lines with over 10,000 vendors and through which purchase orders worth several hundred thousand dollars are processed every hour.

Designed the transition of the company’s purchase order user application from a monolithic Java model to a multi-tiered model using RMI and CORBA (Weblogic Enterprise).

Developed a C++ numerical simulation framework for use in design of electromechanical systems necessary for portable hard disk drives. Developed 2D and 3D visualization programs for studying the effect of shock on portable systems. Several IBM products have been redesigned to have industry leading shock performance based on these studies. The work led to five patents and won several awards within IBM, including two for Outstanding Technical Achievement.
