Managed 20+ globally distributed full time engineers, consultants and dev ops engineers to deliver and support a highly scalable microservices based inventory management system deployed on GCP.➤ Managed three engineering teams to build a new high-volume cloud based SaaS solution that handled up to 50 million inventory transactions an hour. Successfully deployed the product to GCP despite a delivery timeline shortened by 3 months. The application was deployed as Docker containers in Kubernetes pods using Spinnaker.➤ Worked closely with product/project management, QA, the executive team to onboard and support initial set of customers over 6 months - one large volume customer and ~30 smaller customers, worth ~$1M in ARR.➤ Made architecture and technology decisions to achieve the product functional goals and exceed scalability targets.➤ Enforced the policies and procedures required to deploy and maintain an enterprise scale application on the cloud. Developed the architecture to move away from the legacy system to a more scalable cloud based SaaS solution.➤ Refactored the architecture of the legacy on-prem solution to enhance the stability and scalability of the system. Exceeded the performance requirements for the largest customer on the system with 800 retail stores across the US.➤ Directed and reviewed all design efforts by the teams to ensure that the designs conformed to the overall architecture for the product, including database design.➤ Created corresponding tasks in JIRA after defining and translating all new requirements from Product to the relevant architecture changes and then drove the lower level detailed design effort and development.
