I am polymer chemist. I have been working as Research Scientist in Momentive Performance Materials, Bangalore. I have been working on design, synthesis and development of various silicone-organic hybrid polymer materials for various applications such as adhesives, coatings, aerospace, automotive potting materials and electronics. Currently, I have been working on formulations for gap fillers, adhesives, coatings, thermal interface materials and electronics applications.My first postdoctoral research was done in Dr. Jean-Francois Lutz group, Precision Macromolecular Chemistry, Institute Charles Sadron, UPR 22-CNRS, University of Strasbourg, Strasbourg, France. The main work focus on design and synthesis of peptides and polymers by using RAFT and other Controlled Radical Polymerizations and their post functionalization using peptide coupling, click reactions, Michael addition, condensation and so on. Ph.D. was done under the supervision of Prof. S. Ramakrishnan, Department of Inorganic and Physical Chemistry, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India. The project entitled “Orthogonally Functionalizable Hyperbranched Polymers: Uses in Amphiphilic Hydrogels and Supported Catalysis”. M.Sc. Project was done under the supervision of Prof. M. Periasamy, School of Chemistry, University of Hyderabad, India. The project entitled “Convenient Method for the Synthesis of 6-Acyl-1, 1’-Bi-2-Naphthyl Dimethyl ethers”. Skills and Abilities:10 years of experience in multistep organic synthesis, functional group transformations, peptide synthesis, polymerization techniques (condensation polymerization, controlled radical polymerizations ( RAFT, ATRP etc), ROMP and so on), self-assembly, hydrogels synthesis and their supported catalysis, design, synthesis and development of silicone polymer materials, condensation curing, addition curing, thermal interface materials, and different formulations. Instruments handling and analysis of the data:FT-IR, NMR, HRMS, GC-MS, LC-MS, MALDI-TOF, HPLC, UV-VIS-NIR, Fluorescence, DSC, GPC, SAXS, WAXS, POM, TGA, DMA, Rheometer, Viscometers, AFM, TEM, SEM, LB trough, TIM tester, BLT measurement, TIM hot disk, TC and TR testers, Dispenser, Thinky mixers and Hardness testers.Awards and Recognitions:• Qualified Junior Research Fellowship of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR-JRF) in June 2012 (All India Rank 52)• Qualified Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) in the year 2012 with 99.13 percentile (All India Rank 78).
