I am a career professional in operations, communication and emergency management. I started my career as an officer in Nepali Army at the age of 19, and led a very successful career with multiple promotions, awards, and a gold medal for exemplary work. Finally, I retired as Lieutenant Colonel after two decades of service. During my military career, I successfully supported and led various emergencies, disasters,civil military coordination and conflicts missions both nationally and internationally. Besides those experiences, I had participated on United Nations Peace Keeping Missions in Haiti, DRC Congo, Lebanon and South Sudan with multinational forces and civilians in diverse environment.Currently, I am working in South West region of BC, Ministry of Emergency Management and Climate Readines, Canada. This Year 2023 has been the most destructive wildfire season on record in the province of British Columbia. Over 2 million hectares of wildland were burned, tons of thousand forced to evacuate, and hundreds of homes were lost.In this catastrophic disaster, had an opportunity to work in activated South ,Central and Norh Provincial Regional Emergency Operation Centre on Operation, Logistic and planning branches to serve and support the vulnerable effected populations through the Local Authorities, First Nations and other Agencies. I am passionate in serving the community and people in the time of emergency.
