Heading Operations Production & SCM includes Production, Vendor Development, Supplier Quality, Planning. My roles and responsibilities as Ops Manager are as below including weekly/Monthly & Quarterly updates to the Management team and different stakeholders. Accountability of end-to-end materials management, and production ramp-up & manpower planning, process improvements, and field failure analysis/resolution.o Production Planning and Scheduling:• Develop and maintain production schedules to meet demand and delivery deadlines.o Supervising Production Operations:• Oversee the daily operations of the die-casting production line, ensuring optimal performance of machines and personnel.o Quality Control and Improvement:• Ensure products meet customer specifications, industry standards, and internal quality requirements.o Safety Management:• Maintain a safe working environment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards (e.g., OSHA, local safety laws).• Train staff on proper safety protocols, machine handling, and emergency procedures.• Conduct regular safety audits and identify areas for risk mitigation.o Team Leadership and Staff Management:• Lead and motivate the production team, including die-casting operators, machine operators, and other production staff.• Provide training and development opportunities to improve skills and performance.• Manage staff performance, conduct appraisals, and resolve any conflicts or issues that arise within the team.o Purchase & Vendor Management:• To find and add good competitive vendors for BOM and Non-BOM requirements. • Ensure good relations with vendors to get the material on time.o Cost Control and Budgeting:• Monitor production costs and work to reduce waste, scrap, and inefficiencies.• Assist in budgeting for production materials, labour, and maintenance costs.• Implement cost-saving measures without compromising on quality.• Inventory and Supply Chain Management:• Oversee the inventory of raw materials (e.g., metals, alloys) and ensure there is enough stock to meet production needs.• Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely delivery of materials.• Monitor and control inventory levels to avoid overstocking or stockouts.o Reporting and Documentation:• Prepare and submit reports on production progress, performance metrics, downtime, and safety incidents.• Keep accurate records of production data, maintenance logs, and quality control inspections.• Analyse production data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
