From my early days as a software developer in 1995 to my current role as the CEO of IBV Pte. Ltd., the path has been a tapestry woven with diverse experiences and lessons.In 1999, I transitioned from development to project management, setting the stage for my deep dive into technology leadership. Guiding projects through the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and witnessing the evolution of technology sharpened my skills and broadened my perspective.From 2001 to 2006, I ventured into crafting banking software products for Demat, RTGS, Cheque Truncation and Mobile Banking, a phase that brought me closer to the intricacies of financial technology. This period marked a turning point, where I was not only shaping software but also influencing the financial landscape itself.The next chapter saw me embrace Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibilities, steering my company toward new horizons across APAC and the Middle East. This decade-long journey illuminated the complexities and rewards of international business expansion.Simultaneously, my role as an active board member for Nova Group, a Malaysian-listed company from 2011 to 2018 provided me with insights into corporate governance and strategic decision-making at a higher level.Seeking fresh challenges and motivated by an entrepreneurial spirit, I co-founded FID, aiming to fuse facial recognition with blockchain technology. This venture illuminated the importance of selecting the right partners and the valuable lessons that failure imparts.My journey continued with Maven Fintech, where I initiated ambitious projects like peer-to-peer lending (ECLend) in India. The experience exposed me to the regulatory intricacies that shape the fintech landscape. While regulatory hurdles in India posed challenges, the experience underscored the importance of perseverance.Today, as the CEO of IBV Pte. Ltd., I've harnessed my collective expertise to spearhead iChange—an innovation that disrupts the money exchange market. iChange empowers individuals with seamless global currency transactions, a multi-currency iChange MasterCard, and the power to make remittances seamless.My journey, moulded by experience and resilience, has led me to the forefront of financial technology.
