Using a variety of skill sets, My role included developing market relationships, analyzing digital innovators and building solutions to change the customer’s perception of insurance.

Mississauga

The ESC active pharmacy program influenced member consumption of pharmacy services as a complement to any drug benefit plan. Members gained education about their drug coverage and treatment options, access to our vast clinical research 24 hours a day and an advocate working behind the scenes with their doctor to help save them time and money. By making better decisions, members lower their costs and enjoy healthier outcomes. My role included developing relationships with various industry stakeholders from plan sponsors to advisors to insurers to create brand awareness, achieve revenue growth and use of the pharmacy program. This also included speaking at industry conferences and helping customers understand the ESC adjudication services.

Using data, analytics and predictive models, ESC looked at consumer behaviour with how prescriptions are filled in effort to lead better decisions and healthier outcomes. By doing so, we reduced plan sponsor and member out-of-pocket costs through our programs, one of which includes an Active Pharmacy. My role included calculating those savings for prospective and current clients through analyzing member behaviour. This allowed for further insight into opportunities using each client's own data to provide an unique perspective. In addition, my role included predictive modeling for formularies, step therapy and forecasting growth. I worked with drug manufacturers, wholesalers and pharmacists alike.

Toronto

Calculated rates on new business up to $7,500,000 in annual premium and administered an in-force block worth $55,000,000 in annual premium. I coached Intermediate Underwriters and Underwriting Trainees to further their risk assessment knowledge and profitable pricing habits. In addition I administered special arrangements with preferred partners to promote sustained growth and profitability and established national procedures to unify both Montreal and Toronto Underwriting sites.
