Providing emotional and practical support for witnesses at court, to help them understand the court process and feel empowered to give their best evidence.

To raise awareness of EDI and Kent Witness Service policies, and constructively challenge those who discriminate, harass, speak or behave inappropriately to ensure the Witness Service is inclusive and welcoming to all.

Digging into the debate on issues of race and policing by comparing and contrasting the legal frameworks of the UK and USA justice systems, and investigating the arguments around institutionalised racism within law enforcement.

Legal research, case work, and preparing an advice document in a pro bono capacity, investigating a potential miscarriage of justice. Assisting on the case of a person imprisoned for a serious offence, searching for potential grounds for referral to the Criminal Case Review Commission.
