Adam spent 6+ years building and leading the Global Ethics & Compliance org at Netflix, scaling from a single direct report (2018) to a stellar team of 14 outstanding compliance professionals in 7 countries.Areas of responsibility include anti-corruption (including the US FCPA, the UK Bribery Act, and local laws), trade compliance (import/export, OFAC/sanctions), antitrust/competition law (RFIs) as well as third party due diligence and conflicts of interest. At Sullivan & Cromwell LLP, Adam’s broad-based practice encompassed the representation of clients across industries (including banking, sports, technology, and telecommunications) in a variety of complex matters (including antitrust suits, bankruptcy proceedings, class actions, employment discrimination and misappropriation of trade secrets).Adam also handled a number of pro bono matters, including work on an amicus brief filed with the California Supreme Court opposing nullification of thousands of gay marriages in California following the passage of Proposition 8.

Analyzed proposed legislation on cable television regulation, wireless communications leases, and railroad safety for the Assembly Utilities and Commerce Committee.

Recruited and trained volunteers, and acted as liasion between campaign leadership and local organizations, media outlets, and elected officials.

Researched and drafted legislation for Assemblymember Lloyd E. Levine on drunk driving, firearms safety, and public utility service quality.

Analyzed United States Supreme Court opinions for the Honorable John M. Ferren, Senior Judge, District of Columbia Court of Appeals.
