I am a data scientist looking to use my skills in analysis and visualization to help understand and solve the challenges faced in communities. Specifically, I am interested in seeing how we can leverage big data for social good. While I initially studied Psychology and acquired experience in study design and research, I developed a curiosity in learning more about data management and analysis. Through my graduate studies, I have also gained skills in data wrangling and predictive modeling with real-world datasets, specifically using Python and R. I have also worked in SQL and Java and have had some experience with deep learning.Data has become an increasingly valuable asset across many fields, and I am passionate about using this resource to benefit our society as a whole. I believe my unique background and skillset can assist me in achieving this goal in positive and impactful ways. Specific fields of interest include data visualization and analytics, machine learning, urban informatics, and public policy.
