I am a senior scientist in Molecular Biology/Biochemistry/Immunology with extensive experience examining the phenotypic and functional responses of normal and OcMMP Human Conjunctival Fibroblasts (HCFs) to IL-13.My research involves comparing gene and cytokine expression profiles in IL-13-treated control and OcMMP HCFs to identify IL-13 target genes and regulated pro- and anti-inflammatory cytokines.I utilize my exceptional capabilities in quantifying IL-13 and checking the expression pattern of its associated markers and downstream pro-fibrotic proteins in the OcMMP conjunctival tissueMy work requires extensive knowledge and skills in collecting biopsies from patients in hospitals, isolating and in vitro culturing HCFs, flow cytometry, SDS-PAGE, Western blotting, fibrogenic assays, immunocytofluorescence, RNA isolation, real-time PCR, ELISA, microarrays, multiplex cytokine analysis, and immunohistochemistry.I have knowledge of techniques such as, ELISA, gel electrophoresis, western blotting, immunocytofluorescence, quantitative RT PCR, ePCR, microarrays, DNA/RNA extraction, flow cytometry, and FACS analysis.
