My role here is akin to that of a Mechanical Engineer or Mechanical Design Engineer. I am fortunate to be working on interesting robotics projects that involved working on an existing quadruped robot dog, Ghost Robotics Vision60. So far the tasks I have performed are as follows:• Designed fixtures and brackets to equip sensors such as RealSense D435i, T265 cameras, Velodyne VLP-16 LIDAR and UWB modules on the Vision60 for indoor SLAM, navigation and obstacle avoidance.• Manufactured Vision60 sensor brackets using 3D printing, Prusa i3 MKS3+ and Creality LD-002R Resin Printer.• Designed mechanical body of a quadruped robot dog inspired by Stanford Doggo and Minitaur using SolidWorks.• Generated technical drawings of parts for outsourced manufacturing.• Designed and developed a container picking system using a XYZ gantry system of linear guides and 6 Animatics Smart Motors.• Designed a cylindrical robot carrying a Rajant DX2 Wireless Node and Nooploop UWB that serves as a module for a multi-node communication system using SolidWorks.• Wrote a simple QR and Aruco Markers detection script using openCV and Python.• Implemented a python-based object detection script using M-RCNN to detect barcode labels on storage containers.

In this role I was fortunate to have first hand experience into the injection molding process.My tasks during this internship stint are as follows:• Understood the Injection Molding process and Tooling Design.• Modified 3D models provided by clients for manufacturing(injection molding) using NX 8.5.• Assisted mold designers in generating Design for Manufacturing (DFM) proposals for clients to ensure molded modified products are accepted.• Modified an existing fixture design intended to UV cure adhesive to bio-chips using NX8.5.• Designed jigs and fixtures to aid in post-production processes such as quality measurement checks or surface finishing inspection.• Generated technical drawings of jigs and fixtures for in-house manufacturing, CNC or EDM.

This was my very first engineering internship where I learnt and worked on developing an electric vehicle.I worked on RINGO (Ride & Go): a quick response electric vehicle that would be ridden by a paramedic in the paramedics team during a Code Blue (Cardiac/Respiratory emergency) situation in Changi General Hospital.During this stint my tasks were the following:• Defined the design specifications of RINGO, payload carrying and dimensions.• Brainstormed designs with the co-founders of FOM and a fellow intern.• Produced and presented on the project timeline during the 4 months internship.• Designed the mechanical chassis of RINGO using SolidWorks.• Manufactured a mechanical prototype of RINGO to verify design before manufacturing working prototype.• Developed mechanical chassis of RINGO after initial prototyping and modified parts.• Performed FEA structural simulation on parts and systems using SolidWorks Simulation.• Generated technical drawings of aluminium parts for outsourced manufacturing.• Assembled the working prototype of RINGO with electrical hardware to enable driving and steering.

• Responsible for managing groups of 20-30 students ranging from Primary School to Secondary School students in the outdoor setting through adventure/leadership camps.• Prepared and facilitated game stations and activities.• Encouraged interaction and team bonding amongst classmates.• Debriefed students on learning experiences gained during the camps.
