An experienced mental health nurse working in a psychiatric hospital in Ghana for close to 10 years. An ardent advocate for mental health, equality and equity for all regardless of one's race, socioeconomic status, through education and engagement of policymakers. I graduated from the University of Cape Coast(UCC). I believe in speaking honestly, and where possible, about these experiences and encouraging others to do the same for a better world, via media platforms such as Facebook, as well as through conferences, forums, and many other events as a member or guest. A commitment to living by and believing in the Golden Rule with its principle of treating others as we would want to be treated, and being purposeful about being kind to people. My emotions do not affect my working relationship with my team or colleagues. I do not give up when I believe in something, especially humanity as I pioneered the first voluntarily psychiatric Nurses association in Ghana called the Professional Association of Psychiatric Nurses-Ghana(PAPNG) with a trade union certificate whose mandate is to ensure the best standard of mental health services and practices as well as to protect the economic right and social interest of its members. I am transparent, accountable, honest, fair and exhibit good communication skills in all my interactions with my clients. I am flexible, willing to learn new things and work smart and analyse situations critically for a win/win situation and compromise when need be.
