Advisor on the program of acquisition of Australia’s future national air traffic management platform with the Department of Defence.

The role was the focus point of responsibility for safety and regulatory compliance of air traffic control operations within Airservices. Responsible for all operational procedures, business continuity, and the professional standards of air traffic controllers and other personnel in safety critical roles. Also responsible for ensuring that all technical systems were reliable and suitable for provision of services to ensure the safety of the flying public. Role requires knowledge, experience and strength of character to balance the sometimes-conflicting demands of safety and commercial considerations of the business and that of customers.

ICAO is responsible for the planning and development of international air transport to ensure safe orderly growth.
