This position serves as our topic area expert on housing and transportation policy opportunities and impacts and is tasked with informing strategic priorities for housing and transportation policy advocacy at local and state levels

I serve on the senior staff at MountainTrue helping deepen member and supporter engagement with our programs across the Southern Blue Ridge Mountain region.

● Develop strategies and action steps that draw targeted constituencies into MountainTrue.● Move MountainTrue advocates, friends, and volunteers to a deeper engagement and partnership with the organization.● Establish and implement member retention strategies.● Cultivate and manage volunteers.● Establish and oversee metrics used to manage the volunteer and membership programs, and measure performance.● Work closely with the Development Director, Campaign Director, and Communications Director to create overall strategies and a continuum for a rich, dynamic, and rewarding MountainTrue member experience.● Manage the Outings and Education Americorps staff member. Ensure that their work advances engagement and equity goals.● Identify and execute outings and events that expand relationships and/or partnerships with identified constituencies.

• Responsible for the design and execution of the 9-month Leadership Asheville program• Developed relationships with senior leaders in the public, private and nonprofit sectors• Generated and managed sponsorships and fundraising• Led committees of graduates in planning, marketing, and executing various programs and events including the Leadership Asheville program itself, the Buzz Summer Breakfast Series, and the Annual Luncheon• Managed and tracked the budget for the 9-month LA program• Oversaw all communications management including a donor database, website, communications plan, marketing plan, and multiple social media platforms
