With a teacher's heart and a deep belief in the power of education, I firmly believe that everyone can actually understand insurance benefits and the financial security they provide. I joined the Altura Benefits the team in 2018, bringing with me a strong background in employee enrollment and engagement, as well as leadership skills emphasizing organization and human relations. Having held the position of Benefits Administrator for Canyons School District from 2010 to 2016, I oversaw the employee benefits for 3500 district employees and managed a part-time assistant. Following my tenure at Canyons I moved to Gallagher Benefit Services, a health insurance brokerage with offices throughout the U.S. and internationally. At Gallagher I managed the online enrollment tool used by their large employer (50+ employees) clients, personally managing 85-100 clients on an annual basis. I was also instrumental in crafting an onboarding process for the online enrollment tool, training clients in use of the system, and creating a User’s Guide to facilitate efficiencies on the part of both the client and internal staff members.I have held an Accident, Health and Life Insurance license from the State of Utah since 2016. As an Account Manager my daily emphasis is on supporting clients with all aspects of their employee benefit needs, including implementation of new products, annual renewals, enrollments, and acting as a liaison between employers and carriers. I earned my bachelors' degree from BYU-I, with an emphasis in business leadership. I am currently pursuing a Master of Interdisciplinary Studies at Southern Utah University which includes business, leadership, and public administration components. Having worked on both sides of the HR desk, I have a unique perspective on the challenges employers face when it comes to benefits administration and recognize that leadership for the 21st century requires a high level of communication skills, strong problem-solving proficiencies, an ability to understand and empathize with employees, and a global outlook to be able to adapt to an everchanging employment landscape. Fortunately, my background has provided me with the capability to fulfill each of these leadership essentials.As an experienced Benefits Administrator, Enrollment Manager, and Account Manager I have a demonstrated history working in the insurance industry. I am skilled in Research, Management, Customer Service, and the Microsoft suite. I have proven myself as an operations expert who is dedicated to my clients and the industry.
