I am responsible for purchasing and maintaining inventory of small wares that are commonly used in commercial kitchens. I also source and provide quotes to our sales and customer base on special order and large equipment. This requires product knowledge as well as vendor relationships. These products involve special attention from quote until delivery to the customer and then to invoicing. I handle damage and warranty issues on theses orders as well.I have streamlined procedures within my department that have turned into best practices implemented at several other divisions. I have traveled to other divisions to train other E&S buyers on these procedures.I conduct training classes on procedure and basic product knowledge to newly hired sales staff. I am responsible for the equipment and supplies area of our regional trade shows. This includes vendor invitations, vendor placement, samples, marketing ,and obtaining additional staff as needed.I assist our marketing department by providing product information and obtaining samples on promotional items, as well as creating flyers on these promotions.
