Susan Cypert has had a wide ranging and varied career as an administrator, manager and community facilitator focused on health and public service. Susan practiced clinical nursing for twelve years before returning to Arizona State University for a degree in History and Women’s Studies. As director of Governor Mofford’s Office of Women’s Services, Susan created state-wide coalitions on policy issues and provided issue based assistance to both the Executive and Legislative branches. Most recently, Susan has designed and implemented a statewide outreach program for KidsCare, managed the design and development of award-winning health education, marketing and Cultural Competence programs and is currently building networks and implementing programs for the SCAN Connections Resource Center.As part of the SCAN Connections Resource Center team, Susan has done numerous presentations, both at the Center and out in the community, on such varied topics as “Trading Ages”, “Dehydration Prevention” and “Healthy Nutrition for Seniors”. She recently completed the Master Trainer training for the Stanford based “Chronic Disease Self Management Program”.
