I was responsible for the largest applications in our Insurance based system, NEON, which includes the Claims and Policy systems. I worked with another programmer to design a Submission system and Marketing system. I also alternated running the monthly batch processing and resolving any errors that may occur after the processing completed. Designed Access databases for various projects using VBA. I developed several applications to make the data in NEON available to the users. I have designed both fully Access based applications as well as Access front-ends using linked SQL Server 6.5 tables. I helped to design and enhance a program for our Positive Pay system with TCB. I also began converting a FoxPro program to Access for better functionality.Worked as backup DBA with SQL Server 6.5. I was secondary for all areas of database administration and implementation. I was involved in restoring databases when they became corrupt, setting up new databases, and maintaining our current databases. Developed programs using Visual Basic 6.0. I re-wrote several extracts from our NEON system in Visual Basic using ADO and the data environment. I have also written a batch program using a 3rd party ActiveX DLL using ADO and the data environment.
