I work with researchers, policymakers, and practitioners to produce "Young Children," NAEYC's peer-reviewed journal, and "Teaching Young Children," the association's magazine for preschool teachers. Duties include developmental editing, copyediting, content review, and generation. I create and manage production schedules for the two publications, handle permissions requests, and liaise with multiple departments and teams to advance NAEYC's mission of promoting high-quality early learning for all children, birth through age 8.

I taught the 5-day 4s at this dynamic, play-based preschool. Duties included creating and implementing curricula across nine early-childhood learning domains; communicating daily with parents via digital share sites; writing and designing weekly and monthly newsletters to inform parents; compiling individual portfolios to track and communicate each student's academic and social-emotional progress; and creating interactive distanced-learning videos.

I've written business, travel and other feature articles for a variety of print and online publications, including USA Today, the Washington Post, the Palm Beach Post, the Baltimore Sun, the Tampa Tribune, the St. Petersburg Times, Florida Trend magazine, Gannett's CareerBuilder and womenconnect.com. I also have created communication plans for clients of a business-to-business marketing agency; crafted advertising copy and collateral; and consulted on public relations and crisis communications plans.
