Followed up with Insurance companies on approvals or denials. Utilized the Powerchart for all clinicals. Verified hospital benefits and billing information. Answered incoming calls and directed patients to their Case Managers assigned by Regions at SPOC (Single Point of Contact). Fax Utility - Saved documents: enrollment/statement of medical necessity, clinical information, insurance/demographics information, appeals documents, etc., in the case directories for new and existing SPOC cases. Created an auto fax task to the Case Managers and sent an acknowledgement fax to the referring doctor or distributor. Assisted the Reimbursement Specialists in benefit investigation and followed up to obtain prior authorization of Nutropin-growth hormone.
