Responsibilities include:- Leading and creating the 1st National FET Skills Strategy for the Green Transition in collaboration with FET stakeholders, industry and consultation partners - Collaborating with industry, government and FET partners to establish Ireland’s 1st National E-Mobility Skills Training Centre- Commissioning and managing research to identify skills/labour gaps within key government priority areas (i.e. housing, retrofitting etc.)- Working with various government depts (DFHERIS/DECC/DETE etc.) to identify agile skills responses across multiple areas- Supporting ETBs on the establishment of 6 National Centres of Excellence for Near Zero Energy Building (NZEB) training- Designing metrics to capture and quantify the climate-related provision across FET- Establishing and chairing various thematic oversight groups to ensure stakeholder representation and expert advice across multiple sectors- Collaborating with our internal communications team to develop national campaigns/events aimed at promoting green/sustainable careers within key government priority areas- Working with other state bodies (SEAI, HSA) to reform construction operations in line with green transition requirements- Collaborating with Higher Education/Tertiary sector on green skills, construction, and sustainable development educational pathways- Providing strategic leadership, vision, and direction in the management of the team, working effectively with peers, external colleagues, departments, and other relevant funded bodies- Ensuring compliance with public procurement policy, data protection laws and implementing the performance management system for all direct reports
