Used the ADDIE instructional design model while working with British Petroleum personnel to assess their corporate training needs; designed and developed content to ensure that learning objectives were met with streamlined, interactive, engaging material; and created effective training assessment tools. Projects included technical eLearning modules using Articulate Storyline software, Lync webinars, and week-long leadership development programs. Also used my visual design and written communication skills to develop client communications such as project charters, stakeholder analyses, technical reports, and company promotional materials such as sell sheets, brochures, and blog posts.

Taught Geometry at an HISD charter school with a high at-risk student population. My primary goal was to design my lessons so that my students would see the real-world relevance of math competency, and become self-motivated to learn the concepts. I enjoyed the challenge of helping these students empower themselves - guiding them to learn how to live up to their potential.

Responsible for developing and implementing training plans to certify ground support personnel for real-time operations of the Human Research Facility hardware and experiments on the International Space Station (ISS). This included technical course planning, development, scheduling, and implementation, as well as extensive participation in simulation planning and implementation, and trainee evaluation.

As a Payload Operations Director (POD), was responsible for directing and coordinating real-time operations of MIR Space Station and Space Shuttle payload activities. Involved extensively in pre-mission coordination with various NASA organizations to prioritize cargo up-and down-mass requirements, maximize efficiency of payload stowage items, develop cold-stowage plans, develop and test flight crew procedures, provide crew and ground support personnel training, and develop simulation scenarios and scripts. Supported simulations and real-time operations as a lead console operator in the Payload Operations Control Center (POCC), reporting and coordinating payload operations with the flight crew, Payload Officer, and other Mission Control Center positions. Performed in this role for most of the Shuttle-MIR missions, as well as for a 32-member POCC team comprised of representatives from the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, various NASA centers, and the European Space Agency for the highly complex and successful Shuttle Radar Topography Mission (SRTM).
