I'm 66 and about to retire from a career in Human Services. Mid-2019 begins a new chapter in my life. I'll have converted my SUV crossover for full-time travel. In it, my service dog and I will explore the western half of the United States. We will visit and camp on public lands managed by the Bureau of Land Management and the National Forest Service. I'm an experienced hiker/backpacker. I enjoy setting up camp, building a nest, so to speak, even though my time at any given site may be relatively short. I thrive on change, especially a changing view. I've branded this journey, Freedom To Roam. I'm posting my videos over four channels. "Freedom To Roam: SUV Crossover Camper Conversion," will detail how I prepared my vehicle for full-time travel (filming now in 2018). As well, this channel will follow vehicle maintenance issues, fixes, updates/upgrades and all things that keep my tiny home a safe, reliable and comfortable source of travel and dwelling. The conversion process will be posted over six installments, released all at once when I begin my journey. Following that, I will post weekly. "Freedom To Roam: Navigating BLM and Nat'l Forests" will demonstrate how I plan for and carry out relocation, restocking, refueling and reconnecting to take care of on-grid business. "Freedom To Roam: Living Out Of My SUV Crossover," will chronicle what happens when we reach a site, from setting up to breaking down camp and everything in between - except for cooking. Part of a management team that developed and facilitated the opening and administration of three group homes for children with developmental and behavioral disorders. Procurement and oversight of adolescent residents' clinical services. Coordinated communication between adolescent group home residents, their community providers and family. Facilitated individual, group, and family therapy. Provided clinical support to group home staff. Wrote treatment and behavior plans. Tracked and reported progress to DDS and DCF.

Springfield, Massachusetts Area

Directed five residential and three outreach programs. Developed multiple programs from the ground up to include a 16-bed facility for the treatment of individuals with chronic mental health disorders and co-occurring physical disabilities. Developed and implemented an online training program that enabled staff to ask questions, make suggestions and receive guidance in open forum or private format. Revived and coordinated the Human Rights Committee. Ensured compliance with Department of Mental Health regulations for residential facilities and treatment documentation.

Tallahassee, Florida Area

Began in Pensacola as a Support Coordinator to advocate, identify, develop, coordinate and access supports and services on behalf of individuals with developmental disabilities and co-existing disorders, advanced to manager in 2000. Developed, staffed and operated Tallahassee branch. Certified to trained Medicaid Waiver support coordinators throughout the State of Florida. Successful development and implementation of online program aimed at keeping providers on the same page with one another.
