I was involved in preparing a feasibility study, and went on to produce the planning and building control submissions for phases 1 and 2. The detailed design was completed and I frequently inspected the construction progress on site. Throughout my work was checked by an experienced job runner in the office (budget phase 1: £145,000; phase 2: £400,000).In September and October ’09 I produced presentation drawings for the Stage D Report for remodelling works to the Cheltenham Everyman Theatre (budget £2m).For a two month period I assisted with the production of feasibility and planning drawings for the change of use of the Gaumont State Cinema in Kilburn to a Place of Worship for Ruach Ministries.From December ’08 to February ’09 I worked on the planning documentation for the fit out of the new build shell for the St James Theatre in Palace Street, London.From September ‘07 to March ‘08 I worked on a new-build mixed use commercial, office and residential scheme on Caledonian Road in London, producing detail drawings and schedules for Stages C, D and Tender (budget £5m).For two months I assisted with the detailed design for a new Performing Arts Centre for the Cheltenham Ladies’ College (budget £6m). During a five months period I worked on a series of renovations to the Cliffs Pavilion Civic Auditorium in Southend-on-Sea (budget £400,000). My involvement included running the project from initial studies up to practical completion. During this, I gained experience of inspecting work on site.
