I also took on many tasks involving coordinating with other NPS programs, parks and directorates, as well as other agencies and outside stakeholders. My accomplishments include developing the visual resource management program and substantially strengthening the Division's planning program, participating in the NPS Social Science Strategy development, assisting in drafting Director's Order 100 regarding conservation in the 21st century, coordinating the Division's strategic planning effort, and managed a national willingness-to-pay survey valuing visibility in national parks.

I participated in policy development for the then-fledgling NPS climate change program, including drafting policy memos and program strategies, organizing a climate change policy panel at the 2011 George Wright Society conference, teaching climate change policy session at Law and Policy for Superintendent's course, and co-chairing the Climate Change Policy Working Group (including superintendents, regional and national science advisers, Policy Office chief and other high level staff). I also worked with this program from October, 2017 through February, 2018, organizing an intergovermental workshop on conservation in the era of accelerated ecological change.

I provided policy and regulatory guidance on and interpretation of complex, multidisciplinary issues related to protection of air quality related values in parks; represented NPS and ARD on interagency, multi-stakeholder groups concerning collaborative development of air-quality related policies and management strategies to improve park air resources and ecosystems, including the Rocky Mountain National Park (RMNP) Initiative (NPS, State of Colorado, EPA, Industry, environmental and academic interests), and the 4 Corners Air Quality Task Force (federal and state agencies, industry, environmental and academic interests, and other stakeholder groups); performed various multidisciplinary ARD-wide and NRSS inter-divisional tasks including chairing NRSS Policy Advisory Group.
