Susan Johnson is a seasoned executive known for her organizational acumen and ability to drive results. The American Academy of Project Management has certified Susan as a Master Project Manager (MPM) and a Certified International Project Manager (CIPM).Johnson serves as CEO of SmartCTY Technologies, gateway provider of smart traffic analytics. Susan also serves as CEO and Chairman of TrafficLand, Inc. Newly merged with SmartCTY, TrafficLand is the nation’s largest authorized aggregator and redistributor of real-time traffic video imagery.Susan also serves as Chairman of the Board of GreyScan Detection, developer of breakthrough trace detection tools to enhance global security.Susan is part-owner, Board member, and former President & CEO of Autism Support Now, a company providing high-quality ABA therapy to children on the autism spectrum. Ms. Johnson also serves as Managing Principal of TAG Holdings, a venture investing and consulting firm founded in 2005 by former U.S. Attorney General John Ashcroft and his long-time Chief of Staff David Ayres. TAG Holdings' portfolio includes investments in nearly two dozen companies.Before joining the private sector Susan served in the U.S. Dept of Homeland Security as Chief of Staff to Vice Admiral Thad Allen, the Principal Federal Official leading the Hurricane Katrina response effort. With Allen she managed the unprecedented federal response to Hurricane Katrina, which spanned 90,000 miles across five Gulf Coast states. Previously she was Chief of Staff for Management at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Her focus was integrating the 22 federal agencies that formed DHS and managing core business functions, including a $43.2 billion dollar operating budget and procurement, IT, HR and administration.From 2001-2005 Johnson was Senior Advisor to the U.S. Attorney General and Dept. of Justice White House Liaison. She developed and implemented a $22 billion annual operating budget, was principal advisor on management and appropriations issues, and helped reorganize the DoJ after the Sept 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. Her work earned her the Attorney General’s Award for Outstanding Management.Johnson holds an MBA and Master of Public Policy from Regent University and a BA from Palm Beach Atlantic University.
