    Susan has worked, lived and volunteered in the South Surrey - White Rock community for over 20 years. She was the founding member and Executive Director of the Newton Advocacy Group Society, creating empowerment and employment programs that have helped over 5,000 people. In 2008, Susan was named YWCA Woman of Distinction and she is a founding member and Board Director of Vibrant Surrey, a non-profit society aimed at reducing poverty.Facilitative leader in community collaborative projects: Project Comeback, Collaborative outreach in Surrey, Surrey Board of Trade’s Link Line and the Surrey Rent Bank. • Strong collaborative relationships with Surrey based community services, local business, all three levels of government and the Surrey Board of Trade. • 2010 Moving Towards Solutions Vibrant Surrey; Project Comeback Acknowledgment. • 2009 The Surrey Rent Bank, homelessness prevent project. Annual strategic plan with timelines and targets.Managed successful staff teams that were supported to achieve organizational outcomes through inspired and innovative leadership.
