My practice focuses broadly on health law, tax law, and business related considerations such as exit strategy, transaction and deal construction and mergers & acquisitions. I am routinely representing providers and businesses with the following: mergers and acquisitions and divestitures of physician practices and other health care businesses; licensing and representation before the Department of Health, various practice Boards (e.g., Board of Medicine, Osteopathic Medicine, Podiatric Medicine, Nursing), and the Agency for Health Care Administration; and representation before the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. I have advised clients in Certificate of Need preparation and have litigated challenges for preliminarily approved or denied Certificates of Need. I regularly undertake preparation, negotiation, and review of physician agreements, including employment agreements and shareholder agreements, practice management agreements, lease agreements, separation agreements, and settlement agreements.I have represented clients before the Boards of Medicine, Osteopathic Medicine, Podiatric Medicine, and Nursing, Agency for Health Care Administration, the Florida Department of Revenue, the IRS, and Florida courts, including the First District Court of Appeals, and the Division for Administrative Hearings.
