Professor in the Masters Program, teaching courses in Celtic Studies: History of Britain, The Celtic Diaspora, Introduction to Scots-Gaelic Language, The Gallic Wars with Caesar and the Survival of Brittany. Supervised Thesis and coordinated study expedition to Cape Breton, Nova Scotia for students to complete work towards their masters degree.

Responded to all traumas by arriving in the trauma bay and being responsible for gathering the patient's valuables, photocopying them, contacting the family and meeting them when they arrive, gathering from the family the information for registering the patients, providing a room for the families of trauma victims who were from out of town in the hospital's "Home Away from Home," making a report at Trauma Rounds later on, following the patient until discharge.Responded to all deaths, stillbirths, miscarriages, fetal demises. Provided blessings and baptisms, blessing of the hands of staff, commendations at time of death of a patient. Served on the DiversityCommittee for two years and implemented the nursing pocket cards for each nursing station, incorporating information related to Native American patients' needs. I did two residency projects: 1) Diversity Training at Nursing Grand Rounds, Oncology Nurses and the Pastoral Care Department (23 people); and 2) Developed and Co-coordinated a symposium entitled, "Caring for Our Families Touched By War," intended for caregivers in the community (soc. workers, clergy, chaplains, etc.) because 10,000 military personnel in our region were scheduled to soon return from Iraq & Afghanistan.Three times per year I participated in or organized Memorial Services for families of deceased patients. Participated in organizing services for families of patients who had been organ donors. During Pastoral Care Week designed and set up an elegant sacred space for nurses to come for meditation and blessing of the hands.

Coordinated the most visible program of the college in the NYC schools - The January Experience, superving and training teachers to teach interdisciplinary themes (such as Bridges of NYC) as teams of five graduate student teachers.Developed and taught a graduate course on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota entitled, "Community Struggles for Environmental Sustainability," employing local resource people for their expertise. Developed Resources for teachers to be Bioregional Educators.

Taught courses in Practical Ecology, Field Biology, & Science Teacher Education courses. Developed the Field School, a summer science school for children 7-12 and The Saturday Science School for children 7-12. Founded the partnership between Moscow Pedagogical University and Memorial University entitled, "Practical Ecology in Education." Led the first Russian-Canadian-American Ecology Expedition to Turkmenistan in 1992, as guests of the Turkman government.Research in the area of Worldview Studies, especially Causality (how things came to be) using Michael Kearney's Logico-Structural Model of the seven Worldview universals.Served on the Canadian National Committee: Status of Academic Women Committee; contributed to the Green Plan for the federal government; served on the Protected Area Association's Committee to determine which 10% of Newfoundland & Labrador lands would be preserved in perpetuity; received funding from the Canadian Secretary of State's Canadian Studies Directorate to develop a plan for bringing native youth into science through their own oral tradition, based on my journal article: "Native Metaphors for Scientifically Explained Phenomena." Designed Science Education Curricula for the Native & Northern Teacher Education Program in Labrador, beginning with Oral Tradition's stories of Causality.
