As the manager of a large daycare in Squamish, I am responsible for up to 10 staff including planning, scheduling, payroll, hiring and scheduling. The manager ensures that all health, safety and licensing requirements are met.I am also responsible for up to 50 different families, requiring regular communication with parents and guardians while ensuring that the daycare is a safe, positive and engaging environment for children and staff.In addition, I work to maintain the facility, hire contractors, purchase materials and supplies while keeping to a tight budget. An important part of my job is liaising with other community and industry professionals to ensure our program is of the highest quality

This role entailed caring for the physical, social and emotional well-being of young children ages 0-5. As an educator I demonstrated enthusiasm, patience, adaptability and caring while working in a team environment.

As an interpreter in a non-profit organization, my main role was to deliver educational, entertaining programming for groups of all ages. I worked in a variety of roles to support the museum, including assisting in the gift shop when needed.

Demonstrating my adaptable and agile nature, I worked in a wide variety of roles at MEC. From bicycle mechanic to customer service to event management, I excelled in every task given to me. I also gained extensive experience in customer service, finding creative solutions to difficult problems.
