A recognized program/project leader with more than 30 years experience with the Federalgovernment at the National Agricultural Library. This experience included all aspects ofemployee recruitment, management and retention, along with four years experience inthe diversity and inclusion field. Through this combination of experience and training Ihave a 360-view of diversity outreach for recruitment and employee retention. I apply analytics to develop insight on program impact and to identify effective strategies to build a strong and diverse workforce.

Selected to serve as the Ombudsperson for the AgBioData Consortium. The Consortium recognizes that there are controversial areas of science and will host meetings that can serve as an effective forum to consider and debate science-relevant viewpoints in an orderly, respectful, and fair manner. As Ombudsperson, my role is to support Consortium members.

Founded the Council in 2017, wrote the Charter; and in 2019 the Diversity and Inclusion Plan. Major points of focus for the Council include: expanding diversity outreach for job opportunity announcements; analysis of the job applicant pools; analysis of Federal Employee Viewpoint Survey annual results; ran a ClimateQUAL survey in 2019; supporting staff in meeting their EEO performance plan requirements; and manage a high impact annual awareness event.

Leading the start-up of the Knowledge Services Division, a new division at the National Agricultural Library, ARS, USDA. The division focuses on the acquisition, management and ultimate preservation of scientific data. The division includes programs serving the research communities for: life cycle assessment, insect 5,000 genomes, long-term agro-ecosystem research. The division is also responsible for building and managing a data repository for agriculture.

Served as the Branch Chief, leading information professionals working in seven subject-focused information centers, in the disciplines of: animal welfare; food and nutrition, food safety, rural, invasive species, water quality, and alternative farming.

Served as the senior science adviser to the director and senior management at the National Agricultural Library, ARS, USDA. Led many initiatives including the start-up of the National Invasive Species Information Center, launch of the food safety research projects database, a three-year project with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission studying human interactions with soil. In addition, was involved with strategic planning and organizational re-alignment.
