I am an Educational Therapist who specializes in teaching reading to students with mild to severe reading disabilities. I have a sub-speciality teaching math to students. I am excellent at building underlying math skills that a student is struggling to learn especially in older children who have underlying gaps. I often use a game-based approach to math which makes learning rote facts and number sense fun and motivating. I am trained in all three modalities of Lindamood-Bell, and have successfully taught severely dyslexic students how to read at or above grade-level. This process usually takes two to three years as I teach Lindamood-Mood twice a week as opposed to following the LMB business model (which is right for certain students.) I have references on request. I am the Head of the Educational Care Department at St. Paul's Episcopal School. There, I case manage students who are struggling in school, and consult with parents, teachers, and administrators on how to best support a diversity of students. I am deeply involved in Professional Development and mentoring of classroom teachers.
