After working with disadvantaged people, families, and communities during my internship at a non-governmental organization, I decided I wanted to pursue a career in community development. I spent four months meeting with mothers who were HIV- and AIDS-positive, and observing the misery that their children endured as a result of extreme poverty.Mentoring orphaned scholars who later made a successful transition to top universities is just one example of my job experience. Preparing funding proposals for educational expenses and other expenses; vulnerable youngsters being placed in safe houses, assessment of children's well-being, particularly their mental health, through counseling, and more.I rejoice with • children with disabilities who now benefit from a refurbished school that has a new playground at Ronkai Primary School in Kajiado County, Kenya• employees I assisted in finding foreign employers who scored highly and fulfilled employer contracts.• orphaned students I coached who finished their degrees and got financial aid to attend top universities • a group of 50 HIV- and AIDS-positive women whose quality of life improved after I introduced them to table banking I'm excited to keep enhancing individual, family and community quality of life.
