I gained my experience and skills working for approximately 20 years within a Local Authority and quickly learned that things had to be done the right way or not at all. After I left there (vol redundancy), I stayed at home for a while and then got the bug to 'do something worth while' again. My husband suggested that I went to work alongside him. Between us we used our skills to look at areas for improvement and implement an improvement strategy - all linked to HR and office procedures. An inexperienced person had not been able to keep up with the changes in legislation for staff care and support and had not understood the importance of Health and Safety and record keeping. It's a wonderful place now, although, I must say the products that my husband makes have always been the best. The office procedures are now current, efficient and organised.I am the person who drives all aspects of the Health and Safety at Glosta Engineering, and am pleased to say that all the team now work in an efficient manner and ensure they adhere to positive Health and Safety procedures at all times.
