Susan O'Rourke is president of Susan E. O'Rourke, P.E., Inc. now DBA O'Rourke Engineering & Planning. The firm specializes in traffic engineering and transportation planning in all its forms. Service include: traffic studies and due diligence for the land development community, special event circulation and transportation operations management plans, school circulation and conceptual design and strategies for infrastructure and mobility. In addition, the firm serves public agency planning and engineering departments to provide traffic review and mobility planning. Ms. O'Rourke continues to bring a creative approach to the technical world of traffic engineering and transportation planning. As part of community mobility, Ms. O'Rourke has extensive experience in the role of transit and its design and operation. She has completed projects from High Speed Rail (California Bi-State Commission and Florida's High Speed Rail Corporation) to commuter rail to demand responsive opportunities. She served as an expert witness to the San Diego Metropolitan Transit Board and provided transportation support on number of station design projects.
