I am an experienced lawyer, legal knowledge manager, practice support lawyer, precedent lawyer and legal drafter.After having practised as a commercial and commercial litigation lawyer for over 12 years, I changed focus to specialise in legal precedents and knowledge management. I have worked exclusively in that area for many years and have extensive experience as a precedents and knowledge manager, professional support lawyer, precedents lawyer and legal drafter across several practice areas and in both large and smaller law firms.I have a special interest in plain language writing, document style and visual communication, including training both lawyers and non-legal staff in these skills, and using technology as a knowledge management and knowledge sharing enabler. I hold a Certificate in Knowledge Management from Victoria University and a Certificate in Legal Project Management from the LPM Institute.I have experience with HotDocs and Contract Express document automation software as a coder (basic level) and managing and being a key participant in document automation projects. I understand coding logic and the role document automation can play in streamlining document production and making processes more efficient. I hold a current legal practising certificate in Western Australia but have also been admitted to practise in Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, the Northern Territory and the United Kingdom (England and Wales).
