Founded during Startup Quest in Gainesville, FL in 2013, the nRODx team was assigned a patent on which we were to (in 10 weeks) create and develop a product, brand it, complete market research, write a business/commercialization plan with financials and then pitch the investment opportunity to investors. After winning the pitch competition, the team pursued further development, applied for and was granted a Commercialization Grant from the U of F, Office of Technology Licensing. The scientists developing this technology received the 30K grant but were unable to create a successful proof of concept.
