As part of the Revenue Cycle team currently managing the 4th hospital implementation of Epic from pre to post Go-Live while maintaining 3 prior go-lives at or below Epic benchmarks as a top performing hospital. Manage and track the log of Epic issues and resolutions. Prior responsibilities included providing the Central Business Office users with Meditech and other functional systems support. Provided leadership over a 2 year period for a system conversion of Meditech for 3 hospitals and a recent upgrade for 6 hospitals. Responsibilities included standardization of dictionaries, Revenue Neutrality coordination between CBO, Nurse Auditors and hospitals, Revenue Cycle coordination of testing and communication between IS and super-users, leading classes, tracking found and resolved issues. Responsible for Revenue Cycle process testing and communication with Emdeon (statements), Vendors (file transfer) and NEBO (claims). Coordinated all Revenue Cycle go-live efforts and progressively refined the go-live process for each hospital. Created and organized all conversion documentation, checklists and sign-offs for CHAN auditors. Experienced in writing and testing queries, creating reports and analyzing data for management, ministry and CBO staff. Maintain claims tables and generate reports in CMS. Provide direction for vendor reporting and reconciliations. Maintain user access across multiple platforms. Coordinate communication and develop team relationships between the CBO, IS and outside vendors.

Responsible for managing underpayment recoveries for a 13 hospital system in Texas based on analysis of managed care contracts and payer repricing strategies. Generated reports in Meditech and downloaded queries from WebMD’s benefit verification system and performed analysis and management reporting.

Responsibilities included computerizing the medical billing system, insurance billing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections, insurance, and payroll. Supervised 2 nurses and 2 receptionists.

Primarily provided software consulting services for short term business projects. Analyzed end-user requirements and developed procedures for a mass personal computer purchase involving 6,000 desktop computers. Established a PC training program for 5,000 users and taught classes for 4 years in Office, Excel, Word, dBase, Publisher, PowerPoint, etc. Supervised 4 administrative user support specialists.
