"Do what you love, Love what you do, and you'll never work a day in your life!" We hear it all the time but few take the steps to do it. After leaving my position of 16 years with a commercial roofing company to follow my passion for tennis and sports I had no idea where it would lead. Since 2016 I have been fortunate enough to travel the world, working and helping at professional tennis tournaments to learn the industry as a whole. I have gained many friends all over the world. My path led me first to Miami and in 2018 to Orlando to focus on working with the USTA at their National Campus. I started in the Player Development area as a PT Resident Assistant with their junior players. Covid-19 had an affect on everyone, including myself, but I never gave up. The minute tennis started back up again I started to volunteer at the campus during tournaments which led to a new position in January 2021 as a Manager on Duty on the weekends overseeing campus operations. Through my contacts there I was fortunate to have the opportunity to join the USPTA. My year there gave me a better understanding of the coaching side of the sport and the path they take to become certified to teach. When the opportunity to join the USTA National Campus full time was offered to me I knew it was the right move as it gives me a chance to help everyone (public, staff & coaches) enjoy this great sport whether playing, working or watching!Before tennis I was with JR & Co, Inc. (formerly JR Roofing, Inc.), a Missouri roofing company, starting as a receptionist and working my way up to HR/Payroll Administration, Accounting, Marketing (Jack of All Trades). In 2015 I chose to follow my passion and pursue a position in sports & tennis. For 1 1/2 years I continued to work for them remotely. My position as remote payroll admin included creating weekly payroll, filing taxes & benefit payments. Create all reports for city / government prevailing wage projects as well as internal reports for job performance. Also assist remotely in payroll filing duties for Falcon Contracting, also a Missouri construction company, including submitting time sheets / gross wages due and all city / government prevailing wage projects.I am proficient in data entry / payroll and the related forms / filings that accompany them. Am meticulous and organized. Enjoy working in a structured / corporate environment. Love learning new processes and software to streamline daily activities. Mostly I love helping others which I get to do every day in my new position with the USTA!
