Having had an amazing 30+ years working in HR Management, I am now off to enjoy the benefits of a wonderful career. For everyone in my network, it has been an absolute pleasure working and learning from you and thank you for your friendship over the years. If you appear in my memoirs, don't worry I will change your name - be very afraid!!

Initially brought in to start up an end to end HR function, which I then developed into a standalone role, responsible for all HR activities across the business. As a growing SME putting in robust HR processes in place for Recruitment, Deployment, Training, Development, Performance Management, Engagement and Retention to enable growth has been paramount with many projects implemented to bring both people and processes together. Running payroll, pensions and benefits packages that both attract and retain good people has been a key factor in achieving a talented and innovative team.Now as the business moves to the next stage of growth, it is time for me to step back, bring in a new perspective for the future and enjoy the benefits of what has been an amazing 30+ years working in HR Management and RETIRE!!!

During my time after leaving BP Gas / MacGas, I undertook coaching training to become an ICF accredited coach for both business development and the management of change.

The LPG business was sold by BP to the DCC group, and I worked within the standalone business trading through Flogas Energy as MacGas, until integration was approved by the OFT then as part of the project team for full business integration, stabilisation and subsequent re-organisation and redundancies.

A longstanding member of the BP Gas Leadership Team with joint responsibility for HSSE leadership, strategy and business performance with specific accountability for the delivery of all HR operational activities across the whole business.Highlights• Part of the implementation team that delivered 3 major strategic organisational business reviews and transformation projects enabling the business to refocus the strategy direction.• Directly responsible for organisational design, resource planning, consultation, selection, managing change, severance and outplacement programmes to deliver the plans.• Outsourcing projects – Logistics, payroll, B2B customer service under TUPE legislation • Delivery of effective Communication and Engagement plans through co-creation and delivery of “great place to work” workshops that helped build motivation. This was followed up with recognition programmes, employee surveys, newsletters and town halls and feedback groups to maintain the focus.• Project managed our Scottish Regional office move to new offices• Event planning - organisation of both the content and facilities for a 3 day leadership conference at Turnberry.• Merging of 3 businesses (MacGas North & Handygas South & BP Gas) to one business - BP LPG UK and introduction of new employee contracts and terms. • Integration of BP policy and working practices including the delivery of Performance Management, Reward, effective Training, Development and Succession / Talent Planning throughout the business.• Introduction of employee forums and cross functional business meetings and increasing engagement across the business.• Successful implementation of the working time directive and changes to drivers contracts to enable greater flexibility.

• Managed the payroll function from Greenfield to 2,500 employees and reduction of same over a 5 year period.• Managed a team of 13 people and implementing basic personnel administration processes• Implementation and interpretation of NJC union agreements relating to multi-trades terms and conditions.
