Led rating agency and investor relations for a large financial services firm during a time of significant change, including two ownership transitions, conversion to a bank holding company, TARP funding, and GM’s bankruptcy. Developed strong rating agency relations despite several management transitions. Managed communications with unsecured bond investors, representing up to $125 billion of debt, throughout this period and a $40 billion debt restructuring.

Managed unsecured debt issuance and redemption for $130 billion of institutional and retail funding programs, and led the associated rating agency relations. Developed unsecured funding strategies, created and executed $5.5 billion liability management program, and initiated new $60 billion interest rate hedging strategy. Established investment strategy and controls for $8 billion excess cash portfolio.

Managed accounting, reporting and corporate governance for mortgage subsidiary with $110 billion of assets. Provided corporate oversight for commercial mortgage unit with $18 billion of assets. Led key activities for divestiture of selected business unit.
