Susan has extensive experience working as a civil/environmental engineer for private consultancies, public government authorities and private industry.Susan specialises in projects involving environmental and civil engineering. This includes hydrology, hydraulics, hydrogeology and analysis and mathematical modelling of surface water and groundwater systems; total catchment management including erosion and sediment control and impacts on water quality; and floodplain management including flood modelling and hazard assessment.Susan also has experience in the design of urban, industrial and rural stormwater drainage and detention basins; technical assessments for inclusion in environmental impact statements and statements of environmental effects; preparation of environmental management plans; and water balance analysis.Susan also has extensive experience in spatial data storage and manipulation, including development and simplification of complex digital terrain models using both airborne laser scanning data, also known as LiDAR, and aerial photogrammetry data.Susan also has a wealth of experience and knowledge in NSW water legislation and associated planning approvals at Commonwealth, State and Local levels related to water aspects of project approvals/modifications.
