Senior Epic Credentialed Trainer
CurrentEffectively facilitated new hire Epic classroom and remote training sessions for our clinical staff which included, providers, nurses, clinical assistants, and health professionals such as social workers and chaplains.Conducted one on one in person and remote sessions to assist clinical staff with Epic functionality and workflow questions on main campus and in our satellite locations. Because of my excellent customer service skills and knowledge, I was a recipient of a Partners in Excellence Individual Award based on a nomination by one of the physicians I assisted. Created eLearning interactive classes using Adobe’s Captivate application. A few examples include the Salesforce CRM eLearning for nurses using the application for handling patient calls. Another example is a charge capture class for our pediatric providers, nurses, and clinical assistants, which allows them more flexibility to take the class as needed, rather than attending in-person training sessions. Collaborated with business analyst and nursing teams to create a workflow, training curriculum, and step-by-step instructions that guided staff nurses on how to document and enter charges for the administration of a newly approved medication within the Epic system. Worked and collaborated with a variety of teams on several projects, including our Palliative Care Team to create a referral workflow process that saved inpatient providers time when referring patients to our ambulatory clinic. I’ve successfully worked with our eCare team to create testing scenarios for a new surgical oncology role. I’ve also successfully worked with several of our nurse and provider leaders to create and/or modify note templates for their departments. Created documentation and tip sheets for our users related to Epic functionality and created resource guides for our provider and nursing new hire employees.
