Ms. Spencer is a highly qualified policy expert with a focus in the transportation sector. Susan's particular areas of interest lie in the fields of intelligent transportation systems (ITS), automated & connected vehicles, freight planning and operations, including intermodal integration and Smart Corridors and the application of advanced technologies for public security. She has global presence and is highly respected in the ITS and Automated & Connected Vehicle markets. Over her 31 years as a federal public servant, Ms. Spencer developed as a key thought leader in Canada with a broad and deep level of contacts across all public and private transportation agencies. Susan is an excellent communicator – one of her recognized strengths is her ability to listen to stakeholders, understand their needs and responsibilities and to propose solutions that reflect these interests. Susan has also written many analytical reports and strategy/policy documents for the Government of Canada and has contributed to a number of international publications.
