Development and customization of the Nextgen EHR healthcare application for Alegis Care, Cigna’s in-home population health and clinical services solution.

Contract position with Cigna Healthspring as a Nextgen EHR template developer.

Integration Analyst supporting all bi-directional electronic interfaces on the AthenaHealth electronic medical records system. Continued support of Florida Hospital Centra Care NextGen EHR system for all required template modifications.

• Successful completion of KBM 8.3 UD1 installation for a multiple practice Urgent Care and Family Medicine organization. • Heavy use of stored procedures to access, format and manipulate data from the NextGen database• Template customization to integrate existing urgent care template sets with the new functionality of KBM 8.3. • Heavy use of NextGen’s Document Builder to customize existing documents and create new customized Documents.• Specialized Crystal Reports designed and written plus modifications to existing NextGen supplied Crystal Reports.• Provide one-on-one provider workflow training.

EHR Template Development and Application Support• NextGen KBM development for multiple specialty clients (Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Dermatology, Rheumatology, Physical Therapy, Pediatrics) in pre-KBM thru KBM 7.9. • Ongoing NextGen application support for multiple specialty clients.• Modifications to existing NextGen supplied Crystal Reports and creation of New client specific Crystal Reports as needed.

• Worked with multiple NextGen clients (Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics) in the development, unit testing and implementation of customized templates, documents and Crystal Reports for NextGen 7.5 and 7.7 KBM.

Responsible for the development, unit testing and implementation of customized templates, documents and Crystal Reports for NextGen 7.5 KBM for a multi-specialty organization. • Responsible for leading a team of two contract NextGen developers in delivering required modifications and customizations to the user community.• Utilized SQL Tools on a daily basis for the development of Stored Procedures needed for the NextGen application and for database query and template testing.• Provided daily customer support for NextGen EMR users in all areas of the system including template instruction, ICS, and Interfaces. • Participated in the Change Control process through recommendation, documentation, and implementation of changes.• Worked closely with the Physician liaison in order to determine the needs of the Providers. • Communicated all changes to the NextGen EMR users in a timely and understandable fashion.• Participated in the successful implementation of NextGen release 5.5 as it pertains to EMR.• Participated in the KBM 7.7 upgrade. • Provided one on one user training in the field as required for MA and Provider on the use of the EMR system.

• Responsible for the development, unit testing and implementation of customized NextGen templates, documents and Crystal reports for multiple Centra Care (Urgent Care) locations.• Lead a team of 6 contract programmers in the development and unit testing of 60 newly designed and customized templates created specifically for the Centra Care urgent care locations. • Responsible for the creation of test plans and test cases for the customized template development project and for providing timely and ongoing project status reporting to upper management utilizing Microsoft Project. • Modified and customized approximately 60 existing KBM templates in both the KBM 7.3 and KBM 7.6 environments.• Participated in the KBM upgrade from 7.3 to 7.6 and successfully implemented all customized and modified templates, documents, and Crystal reports into the Production environment. • Participated in the successful implementation of a two-way (send and receive) lab interface between Quest Diagnostics and NextGen EMR 5.4.27 and 5.4.29. This included the utilization of the Rosetta interface for the lab and NextGen communication, and detailed customization of the Lab Master template and Crystal Reports within NextGen KBM 7.3 and 7.6. • Participated in the process of implementing a lab interface between Florida Hospital Pathology (Sunquest) and NextGen 5.4.29 EHR.• Proficient in SQL Tools for the development of Stored Procedures utilized in NextGen and for database query and template testing.

• Provided programmer/analyst responsibilities in a relational database environment, through detailed program analysis, design, development and testing for projects related to AT&T’s CBS High End Billers.

• Responsibilities included leading a team to research and correct production abends, develop application enhancements, and provided input for performance tuning and management.• Provided 24 hour coverage and support of the AT&T Tailored Journals application.
